Claire McGuinness, founder of Living in Sync and women's health nurse

Science-led. Compassion-driven. Education-focussed.

Living in Sync was founded by Claire McGuinness, a qualified nurse with over 15 years of clinical experience across A&E, critical care and community health. Throughout her career, Claire saw first-hand how often women’s health concerns were misunderstood, minimised or simply not explained clearly enough.

Living in Sync was created to help change that.

Rooted in evidence-based education, clinical experience and lived understanding, Living in Sync supports girls and women to better understand their bodies through every hormonal stage, from puberty and menstrual health to perimenopause and beyond.

Based in Brighton, Claire now specialises in delivering accessible, practical education around puberty, menstrual cycle health and the impact hormonal changes can have on confidence, wellbeing and participation in sport. Working with schools, parents, coaches, colleges and community groups across Sussex and the wider UK, her work aims to improve body literacy, break stigma and help girls feel more supported through adolescence.

Alongside her work with young people, Claire continues to support wider conversations around women’s hormonal health, empowering individuals and communities with clear, compassionate and evidence-informed education.

At its heart, Living in Sync is about helping people feel more informed, confident and connected to their health, working with their bodies, not against them.
